Discuss the reign of Prince Shotoku of Japan and the characterisrics of Japanese society and family life during his reign.
Prince Shotoku was the main person that helped Japan reach it's golden age. Shotoku was a prince. Shotoku was very pleased and intrested with the Chinese culture so he involved the Japanese to learn from the Chinese people. He was so interested that he sent scholars to China to grasp on Chinese society. He also invited Chinese skined workers into Japan. Since the prince was intrested in China so obviously he supported Buddhism. He split Buddhism into different sects, but still the main focal point was still the religion Shinto.
